Job Summary :
The Quantity Survey position is responsible for budget generation, preparation, and evaluation of tender documents and assessment of variation order.
Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Budget Generation
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) on issued complete construction plans and specifications.
- Examine which procurement strategy / methodology to be used based on specifications.
- Validate and reconcile quantities with Project Engineers and Engineering Department.
- Coordinate with Procurement department on prevailing market pricing.
- Route construction budget for approval.
2. Bidding Procedures of Contractors
Prepare tender documents upon received of complete bidding plans specifications and forward to Estimating - Head / CMD the final tender documents for approval.Transmit the approved tender documents to Procurement department.Attend pre-bid conference together with CMD, Procurement, and contractor's representative / s.Evaluate the contractor's cost proposal and submit final evaluation and recommendation report to CMD for verification and approval.3. Variation Order Assessment
Review, validate, and evaluate cost proposals of submitted variation orders of the project.Route validation order documents for approval.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fieldPossession of relevant professional certifications or licenses (e.g. PRC License Holder, TPICQS, etc.)Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and construction cost management.Knowledgeable in construction materials estimate.Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g. PlanSwift) and other cost management tools.Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCADHas a good communication skills and problem solving skills.Excellent communication skills for coordination with CM, design teams, and contractors.Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on cost management trends.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost-related tasks.Proactive and results-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.Critical thinking and adaptability in managing project cost challenges.Effective team collaboration and communication to support CM teams and stakeholders.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
