What You’ll Do
- Manage and lead the full paralegal and case support function for trial-ready cases.
- Take ownership of cases from intake through verdict.
- Draft, e-file, and serve pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and court orders with accuracy.
- Handle all aspects of discovery, including expert and fact witness coordination, document production, and meet-and-confer communications.
- Prepare comprehensive trial notebooks, exhibit lists, and witness binders for court.
- Maintain deadlines and calendaring for both state and federal court matters.
- Communicate clearly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal field.Hands-on experience in personal injury trial litigation in Texas (required).Prior work at a Texas personal injury trial firm with direct involvement in cases that went to trial.Familiarity with e-Filing, Microsoft 365, e-discovery platforms, and case management software.Ability to manage deadlines and court calendars in both state and federal courts.Experience working with clients directly and communicating professionally under pressure.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.Big Law experience is acceptable only if the candidate has also worked on the plaintiff side (even if not in personal injury).Candidates must understand scheduling deadlines, whether from a plaintiff or defense background.
