Role Overview
We are seeking a high-level eLearning Developer to lead the build and delivery of interactive digital learning experiences across multiple clients in corporate and academic settings. This role is responsible for creating, integrating, and refining multimedia eLearning modules in collaboration with instructional designers, SMEs, and client teams. The developer will work simultaneously on multiple projects—delivering 2–3 high-quality modules every two weeks—while adhering to client specifications, brand standards, and industry best practices. Success in this role requires autonomy, collaboration, technical versatility, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, creative production environment.
Employee Value Proposition (EVP)
Purpose
This role is designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and education. You'll contribute directly to the transformation of learning experiences across higher education and corporate training environments by developing digital content that drives measurable learning outcomes and user engagement.
Growth
This position offers the opportunity to lead complex build initiatives across industries, gain exposure to diverse pedagogical strategies, and refine expertise in emerging learning tools and platforms. You’ll be challenged to push boundaries in eLearning development while building a portfolio that reflects breadth and technical innovation.
Motivators
If you are driven by craftsmanship, cross-functional teamwork, and making a meaningful impact in the learner journey, this role offers the variety, creativity, and challenge to stay engaged. You’ll work with a team that values quality, efficiency, and constant learning—and you’ll have direct influence on client success.
Major Performance Objectives
1. Lead the End-to-End Build of eLearning Modules for Diverse Clients
Within the first 90 days, take ownership of all technical development aspects for assigned projects across higher education and corporate clients. Build and deliver 2–3 modules every two weeks using platforms like Canvas, Moodle, and H5P. Ensure all builds meet SCORM / xAPI standards, align with accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1), and pass QA testing with zero critical issues.
2. Translate Storyboards into High-Fidelity Interactive Learning Experiences
By the end of the first six weeks, translate storyboards and scripts provided by learning designers into engaging, visually consistent modules using H5P and Adobe Creative Suite (optional). Integrate multimedia, assessments, and animations that align with instructional goals and maintain brand integrity for each client.
3. Manage Development Timelines and Stakeholder Feedback Loops
Within the first 60 days, proactively manage project timelines across 3–4 concurrent module builds using tools like Asana, Jira, Trello, or ClickUp. Set clear development milestones, document change requests, and maintain weekly progress updates with internal teams and client partners. Ensure all assigned modules meet agreed delivery dates without sacrificing quality.
Critical Subtasks
1. Collaborate with Learning Designers and SMEs for Content Alignment
In your first 30 days, establish strong working relationships with instructional designers and SMEs to gather requirements and validate technical feasibility. Participate in weekly sprint meetings, clarify design intentions, and confirm build expectations prior to development start.
2. Build, Test, and Debug LMS-Compatible Modules
Beginning immediately, develop content compatible with multiple LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle) using H5P and SCORM / xAPI formats. Conduct thorough self-QA and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles for every unit to ensure performance across browsers and devices, resolving any critical issues before launch.
3. Apply and Expand Multimedia and Visual Design Standards
Leverage Adobe Creative Suite, open-source tools, or proprietary brand assets to design intuitive, on-brand interfaces and visual assets. Optimize all media for load speed, responsiveness, and accessibility. Innovate layout and UI strategies to enhance learner engagement and content clarity.
4. Maintain Build Documentation and Version Control
Ensure each module includes a complete set of build notes, asset libraries, naming conventions, and version tracking. Maintain an organized project repository (Google Drive, SharePoint, Git, or equivalent) for handoffs, revisions, and internal QA audit trails.
5. Coordinate QA Reviews and Client Feedback Implementation
Manage structured QA and feedback loops, coordinating with internal stakeholders and client teams to address comments efficiently. Triage feedback for urgency and scope, implementing revisions within a 3–5 day cycle without impacting sprint deadlines.
6. Monitor Performance and Recommend Technical Improvements
Track performance metrics post-deployment—such as completion rates, engagement times, and reported issues—and use findings to make build process improvements. Share optimization ideas with the team biweekly to drive continuous delivery and usability enhancements.
7. Continuously Evaluate and Integrate AI to Improve Performance
Within the first 90–180 days, take ownership of identifying how AI and automation tools can support or enhance the core responsibilities of this role. Evaluate tasks that could be streamlined or improved, lead pilots, and embed continuous AI adoption into daily work. This includes researching AI tools for automated QA, video transcription, localization, and personalized learning interactions.
