Remote HR & Payroll Specialist (Xero)
Location : Remote
Employment Type : Full-time; 40 hours per week
Rate : 50k PHP (negotiable)
Role summary
We’re hiring an HR & Payroll Specialist to manage compensation & benefits, process payroll using Xero, ensure compliance and maintain HR records. This role focuses on accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR documentation — NOT full HR lifecycle (no heavy recruiting or L&D responsibilities).
Key responsibilities
- Process accurate, on-time payroll using Xero Payroll (monthly cycles).
- Reconcile payroll journals and coordinate with Finance for disbursements.
- Administer employee benefits (HMO enrolment, leaves, allowances, bonuses) and respond to employee enquiries.
- Maintain and update employee records (contracts, IDs, leave records, clearances and medical certificates) — digital filing and secure storage.
- Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and prepare documentation for audits.
- Produce monthly payroll reports (payroll summary, deductions, employer costs) and ad-hoc C&B reports.
- Coordinate with external providers (HMO, payroll partners, auditors) and with Finance / Admin Team for general ledger postings.
- Improve payroll / admin processes and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Ad hoc HR admin tasks : employment certificates, onboarding checklists, exit clearances.
Must-have skills & experience
