Job descriptionRequired Expirience : Bachelor0s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus eight (8) years of relevant industry experience, preferably in the utility sector. 8+ years of product development including solution delivery, preferably for deployment of a telecommunications network and / or large enterprise or internet / application service provider data center. Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows servers, including OS and network configuration. Working knowledge of SQL and experience with Oracle Database; PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously with customers; capable of engaging with all organizational levels. Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects; experience with requirements gathering, resource organization, project / task prioritization and schedule development. Desirable : experience with gas, water and electric utility meter reading and related distribution automation technologies; hands on experience with Cisco IOS / IOX, networking and TCP / IP; IPv6 experience; radio frequency equipment planning / installations; experience with GIS, CIS and other utility systems. Overview
We are seeking a Technical Consultant with experience in large scale network and system deployment to join a System Deployment Services team within the Service and Delivery organisation.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to design, document and deliver a network solution implemented within the end client6s data centres.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Sales, Operations, Product Management and Engineering to ensure engagements are initiated and completed successfully.
- Assist Project Managers to define deployment activities for green-field installs and major upgrades.
- Influence customers to make technology and project trade-offs to facilitate predictable, high quality, high-performance implementations of Itron0s products and services.
- Establish project scope and activities, define joint roles and responsibilities, manage mutual commitments, and monitor change requests to drive overall customer satisfaction.

Location : Manila, Philippines
Travel : Ability to travel principally in the Asia Pacific region for onsite design workshops and deployment activities.
Telecommuting : Hybrid arrangement; work from home and onsite at customer premises in Manila.
