Our client is looking for an eloquent lawyer experienced in managing corporate legal work, government relations, data privacy and product development advisory in a tech-savvy company.

Your primary role will be assisting the Regional Legal Head, in managing all general legal work and advisory for the Philippine entity business. This will be a strategic legal role that will be pivotal in the growth initiatives of the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead data privacy and protection initiatives, ensuring compliance with the Data Privacy Act, global privacy regulations, and fintech-specific requirements while embedding privacy-by-design in products and services.
• Provide expert legal and commercial advice on data governance, security, and customer trust, balancing regulatory compliance with business objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with clients, partners, vendors, and service providers, with a strong focus on privacy, confidentiality, and data handling provisions.
• Advise on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), conducting due diligence and negotiating transaction documents with attention to data privacy and regulatory risks.
• Guide leadership on licensing, regulatory compliance, and government relations, ensuring smooth engagement with regulators and industry bodies.
• Strengthen and streamline internal systems and processes to enhance compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Requirements
