As our Dental Billing Subject Matter Expert (SME), you’ll lead live training sessions, guide VA upskilling, and ensure seamless, accurate billing operations through structured instruction, deep expertise, and smart systems.

Responsibilities

• Instruction & Training Delivery
• Teach billing workflows : insurance verification, CDT coding, claims, EOBs, and denials
• Lead live and recorded sessions focused on payer logic, billing documentation, and audit-readiness
• Facilitate mock scenarios to deepen system familiarity and code accuracy
• Evaluation & Performance Assessment
• Conduct Skills Evaluation Interviews (SEIs) to assess system use, billing logic, and knowledge gaps
• Monitor trainee progress through TalentLMS, Salesforce, and checklist tools
• Lead recovery training for VAs returning to the system with billing gaps
• Escalate retraining needs with structured feedback
• Help develop micro-modules on denials, CDT updates, and workflow corrections
• Recommend updates to training content based on performance data and clinic needs
• Ongoing Instruction & On-Demand Support
• Answer learner questions around codes, payer rules, and patient communication
• Deliver practical coaching on tone and clarity in billing notes
• Identify common misunderstandings and flag them for SME team review
• Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure HIPAA compliance across billing documentation
• Reinforce accuracy in ledgers, note-taking, and coordination between billing and clinical roles
