Job Description : Summary :

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements using COBOL, IMS and DB2. Your typical day will involve working with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software applications that meet customer needs and specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain software applications using COBOL programming language.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality and functionality.
Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolution to meet customer needs and specifications.

Professional & Technical Skills :

Required Skill : Expert proficiency in COBOL programming language. Experience in IMS and DB2 is also a must.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.

Experience with relational databases and SQL.

Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
