Overall Objectives :
The basic function of the Product Marketing Director is to oversee all Product marketing activities be the conduit between Midea Headquarters / Factories and Concepcion Midea, Inc.
Primary role is to provide a funnel of relevant products under the assigned categories that can be launched in the Philippines.
All product related items required for the launch, selling and marketing of the assigned products will be under him / her.
Key Responsibilities :
Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. This includes product choice, product specifications and requirements, costing, pricing and promoting.
Determining market needs and wants for current and future products via market research, consumer observation and desk research.
Identification and recommendation of brand relevant products and product features based on consumer understanding and competitive benchmarking which will then be translated to consumer messages by the brand management team.
Be in the forefront of product knowledge training for internal and external partners which will include brand marketing, sales, service, installers, merchandisers, dealers, etc.
Help develop and implement go-to-market plans, working will the pertinent departments to execute.
Monitor performance of assigned product categories in terms of sales, profitability and other defined measurements.
Job Requirements :
Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science Graduate with a degree in marketing or related discipline. An advantage if with MBA units.
At least 5 – 10 years' experience in Product Marketing Management from an appliance or consumer goods company in a managerial capacity, with technical and / or marketing experience; strong skills base in category, market and competitive analysis; good forecasting skills and assumptions-building experience, people motivator and coordinator.
