Overview
The Process Excellence Lead should be a dynamic and experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioner who will drive operational transformation. The successful candidate will lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives, train and coach teams on process excellence methodologies, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. This role combines technical expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and change management with strategic thinking to deliver sustainable value and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a change agent who can influence at all levels, challenge the status quo, and empower others through structured training and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- 1. Process Improvement Leadership
Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives to improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Design Thinking to identify root causes, eliminate waste, and standardize best practices.Facilitate workshops, value stream mapping sessions, and improvement events (e.g., Kaizen events) to uncover and execute optimization opportunities.Prioritize and manage a portfolio of process improvement projects to ensure alignment with business goals and strategic priorities.2. Strategic Thinking & Operational StrategyPartner with senior leadership to translate business strategy into process improvement opportunities and initiatives.
Develop short-term and long-term process excellence strategies that support growth, innovation, and operational resilience.Analyze performance data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and improvement areas aligned with strategic objectives.Contribute to the development of operational KPIs and scorecards to measure process performance and business impact.3. Training, Coaching, and Capability BuildingDesign and deliver training programs in Lean Six Sigma, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools to build internal capability.
Mentor and coach team members and process owners on improvement projects and change management techniques.Promote knowledge sharing and foster a continuous improvement mindset across the organization.Develop certification programs and ongoing learning opportunities to sustain process excellence as a core competency.4. Change Management & Culture BuildingAct as a change leader to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and behaviors.
Collaborate with HR, Communications, and leadership teams to embed continuous improvement into the organizational culture.Clearly communicate process changes and benefits to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring buy-in and engagement.Develop frameworks for stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, and adoption metrics to support successful implementations.5. Performance Measurement and ReportingDefine, track, and report on KPIs to monitor effectiveness and ROI of improvement initiatives.
Prepare dashboards and executive presentations to communicate progress, challenges, and successes of process excellence programs.Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate improvements and capture lessons learned for future use.Qualifications and Requirements
Education :Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required.
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.Certifications :Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI, ACMP) is advantageous.Experience :Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation.
