Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Change and Release Manager to lead and manage the lifecycle of IT changes and software releases within a regulated banking environment. This role is critical in ensuring all infrastructure and software updates—especially those related to branch tellering servers—are planned, tested, approved, and deployed in a controlled and compliant manner.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Service Management (ITSM), with hands‑on experience in Change Management , Release Management , and deployment governance aligned with ITIL best practices and banking regulatory standards .
Key Responsibilities :
Change Management Responsibilities
1. Change Governance
Define and enforce a structured Change Management process aligned with ITIL and banking compliance requirements.
Lead the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to evaluate and approve high‑impact changes.
Ensure clear Segregation of Duties (SoD) among requesters, implementers, and approvers.
2. Change Planning & Risk Assessment
Evaluate the impact, risk, and urgency of each change request.
Ensure test plans and rollback strategies are in place before implementation.
Categorize changes (Standard, Normal, Emergency) and manage them according to policy.
3. Change Scheduling
Maintain a Forward Schedule of Changes (FSC) to prevent scheduling conflicts.
Align change windows with branch operational hours to minimize disruption.
Coordinate with deployment and technical teams for phased rollouts.
4. Change Implementation Oversight
Monitor the execution of changes to ensure alignment with the approved plan.
Validate post‑change stability and report failed changes with root cause analysis.
5. Change Communication
Communicate planned changes to affected stakeholders (branches, IT teams, vendors).
Provide real‑time status updates during implementations.
Share post‑change reports and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Master’s degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or Project Management is an advantage.
5–8+ years of ITSM experience with at least 3 years in Change or Release Management .
Experience supporting large‑scale deployments , preferably in the banking or financial services sector .
Proven ability to lead CAB meetings, govern release cycles, and ensure compliance in regulated industries.
Certifications (Preferred but not required) :
ITIL Foundation (ITIL Managing Professional preferred)
PMP or PRINCE2
COBIT , ISO 27001 Awareness
Vendor‑specific certifications (e.g., Red Hat, Lenovo, Ansible, SCCM)
