Principal Purpose of the Position
To assist the Distribution Supervisor in truck scheduling, monitoring and coordinating third-party trucker performance, maintaining ISO documentation, and performing other related distribution functions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Fleet Coordination
- Monitor the status of delivery vehicles, including the delivery of new units by suppliers, repairs, breakdowns, and regular preventive maintenance.
2. Truck Scheduling
Schedule delivery trucks based on sales requirements, including Transfer Trucks and Preload trucks.Schedule field-based personnel manning.3. Expense Management
Prepare distribution expense reimbursements, allowances, and overtime calculations.4. Third-Party Truckers Monitoring
Monitor the performance of third-party truckers, ensuring compliance with company requirements.Coordinate with third-party truckers regarding their performance, personnel, potential new routes, and outlets.5. Documentation and Reporting
Monitor and prepare reports on trucker crews' pending and unremitted documents.Prepare and maintain ISO and HACCP records for the distribution section.6. Training and Orientation
Conduct training and orientation sessions for new and existing truckers.7. Support and Supervision
Assist the Distribution Supervisor in handling other sub-operations in the distribution section.Assist the Distribution Supervisor with the renewal of trucker contracts.Perform supervisory functions in the absence of the Distribution Supervisor.8. Additional Responsibilities
Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time.Qualifications
Graduate of Industrial Engineering or any related Engineering coursePreferably with at least 2 years of experience in handling 3rd Party TruckersProficient in planning, coordination, and scheduling of distribution activitiesKnowledgeable in ISO standards and documentationAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel / Google SpreadsheetsWith driving skills / license is an advantage
