Role Overview

We’re seeking a talented developer with   strong experience in WordPress and WooCommerce, and ideally,   familiarity with ChatGPT or AI-based integrations. The ideal candidate will help streamline our website by reducing plugin dependencies, improving performance, and implementing custom-coded solutions for existing features.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize our WordPress / WooCommerce website.
• Replace existing plugins with   custom-coded functionality   (e.g., product variations, add-ons, etc.) to improve performance and scalability.
• Create and manage product listings in WooCommerce.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website-related technical issues in a timely manner.
• Implement best practices for website performance, speed, and security.
• Collaborate with the team to develop new features and enhancements as needed.
• (Optional / Preferred) Integrate ChatGPT or similar AI tools to improve user experience or backend workflows.

Please note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Requirements

Requirements : Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of custom-coded projects. Deep understanding of WooCommerce architecture and functionality. Proven ability in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. Experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins. Familiarity with AI / ChatGPT API integrations is a strong plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Nice-to-Have : Experience with website optimization and performance tuning. Knowledge of SEO best practices. Familiarity with version control (Git)
