Estimator (Databuild | AU Residential) - Work from home

We’re looking for a skilled Estimator (Databuild) to join a respected residential construction company known for quality and innovation. In this role, you’ll prepare accurate cost estimates and BOQs for homebuilding projects, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and company procedures. You’ll collaborate with design, drafting, and construction teams, while liaising with suppliers to achieve the best value outcomes. • Prepare accurate cost estimates and BOQs for residential construction projects using Databuild and Onsite Companion.
• Estimate a range of projects, from first homeowner products to contracts up to $1.6 million.
• Produce detailed take-offs, cost breakdowns, and purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Review and interpret building plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify project requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and negotiate best-value outcomes.
• Ensure all estimates comply with relevant building codes, company standards, and budget constraints.
• Manage workload effectively to deliver accurate estimates on time — typically handling 2 projects per week, with variations depending on complexity and size.
• Communicate clearly with design, drafting, and construction teams to resolve any scope or cost queries.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, costings, and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and database management in Databuild.
• Perform other role-specific duties as required.
