Position Overview RecruitGo is in search of a Bookkeeping Assistant Manager based in the Philippines.
Aside from your established skills and expertise, we are also looking for someone who has strong organizational and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Responsibilities Assist the Bookkeeping Manager in supervising daily workflows and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Review complex financial transactions, activity statements, and year-end reconciliations.
Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with client and internal requirements.
Provide guidance and technical support to Supervisors and team members.
Step in for the Bookkeeping Manager during absences or as delegated.
Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance monitoring.
Support onboarding, internal training, and performance reviews.
Communicate with clients regarding escalated or complex issues.
Prepare monthly management reports and reconciliations.
Help identify and implement process improvements within the bookkeeping team.
Monitor team capacity and workloads to ensure timely delivery of client outputs.
Qualifications Must-Haves : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required Minimum 4+ years of experience in Australian bookkeeping or accounting roles 2–3 years of experience in a team lead or assistant managerial capacity Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational , leadership , and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice-to-Haves : Experience with Xero Ecosystem apps such as Dext, Deputy, and Lightspeed Why RecruitGo?
