1% for the Planet is on a mission to become the most recognized global environmental community. The Business Development Consultant - Philippines will play a significant part in our ongoing efforts to achieve that mission, building a thriving sales function and growing our movement in the Philippines.
The staff will collaborate remotely with our Leadership team, Brand & Marketing team, and Membership team to build a pipeline of highly qualified enterprise leads and help us form strategic member relationships. The Business Development Consultant operates at a strategic level while also executing regularly on specific deliverables. They’ll research prospects, perform initial outreach, customize presentation materials, and work with our Leadership team to close deals.
The ideal candidate will have :
- A history of successful B2B sales with strategic enterprise accounts, interacting with a variety of stakeholders, including C-suite level
- Drive to move member prospects through all stages of the sales funnel , from first meeting to closing the deals
- Demonstrated strategic partnership experience in a diverse range of industries
- A love of research, deep listening, and a consultative sales style
- A passion for people and planet
- A deep understanding of 1% for the Planet’s brand identity and model
- An innate sense of curiosity, initiative, and an entrepreneurial spirit
- An ability to thrive as an individual contributor in a remote work environment
- An ability to fluently deliver bespoke written and oral advice to clients in a simple way in English
Consultant Responsibilities :
Meaningfully grow our membership base in the PhilippinesResearch global member prospects in a variety of channels and industriesIdentify trends and opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcementsIdentify valuable business development networking events to support our community engagement & events strategyBuild a pipeline of qualified leads through targeted outreachOwn all logistical communication with outbound prospects through the sales process, from initial outreach to scheduling meetings, follow-ups, and account manager hand-offsSchedule and orchestrate leadership support for acquisition meetingsCreate custom pitch decks based on prospect needs and interests, and work with leadership to deliver strategic 1% for the Planet membership pitchesConvert qualified leads to impactful and engaged members by effectively managing all aspects of the sales process from initial meeting to closeWork with the Business Development team to help define and meet goals that are based on a target value of the business development pipeline (using prospective member annual revenue and lifetime value / impact), sales cycle length, and lead-to-conversion rateGather performance data and provide regular KPI reportingProtect the organization's value by keeping information confidential, minimizing risk, and championing brand alignmentProspect for potential strategic partnerships to enhance organizational growthProvide unbiased cultural / localization insights to inform future growth strategiesRequirements
6+ years of business development experienceFluency in English communications and comprehension. Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsExperience delivering strategic sales pitches to enterprise clientsCRM management ( HubSpot and Salesforce experience a plus)Proven relationship builderStrong cross-functional communicatorPhenomenal deck-building skills and strong public speaking and presentation skillsSuperb attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsHigh level of professionalism; ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders, including C-suiteEstablished proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google SuitesFluency in mission-driven or sustainability workHigh degree of initiative requiredMust be amenable to work in remote setup.Travel will be required.
