What is this role about?
The role is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, implementation, and management of IT solutions across the organization. He / she will play a critical role in aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, driving innovation, and ensuring the effective utilization of applications to support our overall corporate goals. The AVP works closely with the VP, possessing equivalent expertise and the ability to execute the VP’s directives. While the VP sets the overarching vision and strategy, the AVP executes initiatives, manages operational IT teams, and ensures seamless technology adoption across the organization. The AVP serves as the VP’s key partner in driving IT excellence and innovation, with the capability to step in as needed. The role also focuses on optimizing technology investments, improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and driving innovation by aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and leveraging the power of applications to impact the organization’s bottom line and financial success.
What will YOU do?
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain service quality and security.
- Monitor IT performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure alignment of IT services with business needs and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other department heads as an advisor on technologies that may improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate information management and technology projects across departments to align with the Company’s IT strategy.
- Manage platforms, data, and system integrations to support seamless business operations.
- Identify, test, and scale the most promising digital solutions within the business budget.
- Establish a scalable and flexible IT infrastructure to support future growth.
- Develop and manage budget forecasts, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Monitor IT expenditures and adjust financial plans as necessary to meet strategic goals.
- Optimize spending on IT assets, services, and projects to maximize value and ROI.
- Mentor and coach IT teams, fostering professional development and growth.
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations to drive accountability and excellence.
- Make informed decisions on IT strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
What will YOU need?
Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related technology courseAt least ten (10) years of leadership experienceTOGAF, Project Management Professional, ITIL, COBIT or CISSP (good to have, not required)Interpersonal skills and ability to multitaskWilling to do field workSeniorities and employment
