Engineering Design Department Head

This position leads the preparation, review, and timely submission of master plans, land development designs, housing structure plans, and amenity layouts for Profriends residential housing and commercial projects. It ensures that estimates for projects are correct with minimal errors in the details.

In terms of design, the main focus of this role is in the structural design of the projects. During construction, this role checks and verifies any discrepancies between the plans and budget and the actual construction and create reports as needed. In addition, this role coordinates with the construction team to clarify and resolve items raised during construction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and complete Land Development, Amenities and Housing and Commercial Projects – design and budgets / estimates needed based on agreed timeframe; deliver additional documents outside of the design matrix.
• Prepares structural designs needed for the projects.
• Recommend process and system improvements for the team
• Resolves concerns raised by the construction division and endorses structural concerns to the Heads
• Manage team members and develop technical knowledge and leadership abilities of team members / staff
