ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Purchasing Officer for a furniture industry who will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the purchase of materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to support production and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sourcing and Supplier Management :
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
Procurement and Purchasing :
Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Track orders and ensure timely delivery.Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and avoid stock outs.Coordinate with warehouse and production staff to ensure smooth operations.Cost Analysis and Budget Management :
Conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction.Monitor and track purchasing expenses to ensure adherence to budget.Prepare reports on purchasing activities and costs.Quality Control :
Review product quality and ensure compliance with company standards.Handle any issues related to product quality or delivery.Other Duties :
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions.Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities.Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.With previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management is highly desirable.Strong negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Analytical skills to evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts.Proficiency in purchasing software and inventory management systems.Attention to detail and organizational skills.Knowledge of the furniture industry and its supply chainWilling to work onsite in Mandaue, Cebu areaRequirements
