Key Responsibilities
Inspecting and Diagnosing : Regularly inspect buildings, systems (like HVAC, electrical, plumbing), and equipment to identify potential issues.
Performing Repairs : Make timely repairs to faulty equipment, structural damage (e.g., drywall, windows), and mechanical systems.
Routine Maintenance : Conduct scheduled maintenance and preventative measures to avoid future problems and keep facilities in good working order.
Equipment & System Management : Ensure heating, cooling, ventilation, and alarm systems function correctly and perform necessary adjustments.
Groundskeeping : Perform routine maintenance on the grounds, such as landscaping or minor repairs to outdoor areas.
Safety and Compliance : Adhere to all company safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
Record Keeping : Maintain logs of maintenance and repair tasks performed and write shift reports.
Inventory Management : Order and manage necessary tools, parts, and supplies for maintenance tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills : Basic knowledge and proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting are essential.
Tool Proficiency : Ability to use common hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
Problem-Solving : Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Physical Fitness : Requires physical stamina for tasks like bending, climbing ladders, standing, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
Communication Skills : Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Safety Awareness : A strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to wear necessary safety gear.
