We believe that everyone should feel confident when purchasing our products no matter your hair type, style or budget.​​ About the Role Kitsch is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Development Specialist to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both product and packaging development processes, with a strong ability to manage timelines and deliverables across multiple projects.

This person is expected to work closely with the product development, production, purchasing, marketing, and sales teams, as well as vendors, to ensure products and packaging are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet the needs of the target audience.

What will be your responsibilities? 1.

Product Lifecycle Leadership Lead product and packaging development from concept through execution.

Analyze product briefs, conducting in-depth research to gather data that clarifies product specifications.

Serve as the expert for product and packaging review, ensuring all samples meet aesthetic standards, color accuracy, and functional requirements.

Manage the development budget by negotiating costs with suppliers to ensure quality and optimal pricing, and ensuring all expenditures remain within financial targets.

Ensure all packaging meets brand standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.

Project Management and Collaboration Manage multiple development timelines to ensure all projects are completed on schedule.

Own and manage the product and packaging development calendar, coordinating timelines across all categories.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, quality control, and manufacturing) to ensure clear communication and a smooth execution.

Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively address any issues with management.

Work with technical designers to create detailed Technical Packs (TPs) and clearly communicate product details and deadlines to factories.

Maintain organized internal documentation, including managing Dropbox files, proofreading linesheets, and managing care label layouts.

Ensure all tasks in Asana have clear assignments and due dates to optimize project workflows.

What are we looking for in you?

Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred (e.g., Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, Product Management).

At least 1-3 years of professional experience in product or packaging development.

Specific experience in textile or accessories product development is a plus.

Key Skills and Qualities Exceptional Organizational Skills : Proven experience in managing multiple priorities, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.

Detail-Oriented : High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
