What is the job?

The IT Director is responsible for leading and overseeing technical operations to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT services for both clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Direct IT policies, SOPs, standards, and SLAs aligned to business goals
Monitor ops metrics, report risks, and ensure scalability, uptime, and reliability
Lead after-hours service and incident management; own escalations and ticket resolution
Oversee after-hours monitoring / maintenance for Windows / M365, networking, virtualization (VMware / Azure), and backup / storage (Veeam / AWS)
Build a high-performing team : hire, coach, develop Tier 1–2 skills; evaluate and address performance
Partner with Performance / Execution teams; analyze incidents and drive continuous process / system improvements

Qualifications

Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IT infrastructure or technical operations management.

Minimum of four (4) years in a leadership capacity overseeing cross-functional IT teams.

Works across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, and networking; applies deep network / cloud / server administration

Leads infrastructure / managed services; manages uptime, incident response, and after-hours support in a 24 / 7 environment

Solves problems under time pressure; makes sound decisions; communicates clearly in English with technical and non-technical audiences
