Radio Frequency Design Engineer

The  RF Design Engineer  is responsible for developing designs for RF systems, particularly for digital transceiver front-end applications.

This role requires a deep understanding of RF design - from the creation of RF models up to its digital implementation into hardware via Verilog / VHDL.

Key Responsibilities : Create detailed design specifications of digital RF blocks (e.g.

direct digital converters, sample rate converters, modulators, filters) from provided high-level specifications; conduct RF modeling and simulation; and, implement the designs into RTL code.

Use EDA tools to conduct simulations and performance analysis of the designed blocks Create thorough and detailed design documents and reports Assist senior design engineers in crafting the technical specifications and high-level design documents Work with cross-functional teams during the integration, verification, or physical implementation processes Keep up to date with the latest advances in RF technologies and incorporate cutting-edge techniques into designs.

Key Qualifications : Master’s in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field RF related thesis or dissertation RF Design : Strong background in Mathematics and Physics, especially electromagnetic concepts.

Strong foundation in designing RF circuit blocks (e.g.

LNA, PLL, filters, modulators) Proficiency in RF systems design concepts such as frequency translation, modulation, and filtering Familiarity with RF communications protocols (e.g.

LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi) is a plus.

Digital design capability is a plus EDA Tools : Experience in using tools such as MATLAB, Cadence, and Synopsys EDA.

Experience in using FPGA development environments, such as Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus including associated tools for hardware simulation and debugging, is a plus Language & Methodology : Familiarity with hardware description languages (HDL) such as VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog.
