About the role
As the Head of Audit, you will play a key role in strengthening the internal audit function. This full-time position is based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. Reporting to the Audit Committee, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company's internal audit plan, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and risk management across the organization.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and oversee the execution of a comprehensive internal audit plan to assess the effectiveness of the company's internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices
- Conduct in-depth audits and investigations, and provide actionable recommendations to the Audit Committee and senior management
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and mitigate potential risks, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track the progress of remedial actions
- Lead and mentor a team of audit professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Serve as a strategic business partner, advising the Audit Committee and senior management on key risk and control issues
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and regulators, and coordinate audit activities as needed
What we're looking for
Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) with at least 10 years of progressive experience in internal audit, preferably in the insurance industryProven track record in leading and managing a team of audit professionals, with a focus on building a high-performing, collaborative, and ethical cultureExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issuesThorough understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and best practices in corporate governanceStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey audit findings and recommendations to all levels of the organisationFamiliarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the insurance sectorProactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvementWhat we offer
