About the roleThis role will be handling back office customs clearance operations for Dubai.Responsibilities : The Customs Clearance Specialist is responsible for efficiently managing the customs clearance process for both agent-nominated shipments and local consignees. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including shipping line agents, consignees, and internal teams, to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance and delivery. Coordinate cargo delivery upon BOE approval. Liaise with transporters for Proof of Delivery (POD) and invoice processing. Arrange customs submission as per regulatory requirements. Coordinate customs inspection if necessary. Obtain finance approval for duty deposit shipments before proceeding. Coordinate with clients to arrange advance deposits when required. Follow up with clients on document submission for refund claims. Arrange Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) attestation when neededAbout you :  Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Previous experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding preferred. Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures. Familiarity with customs clearance software and systems. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). A willingness to adapt to changing regulations and industry practices.
