Key Responsibilities :
Production & Quality :
Preparing, baking, and presenting a wide range of pastries, baked goods, and desserts, ensuring consistent quality across all outlets.
Menu Planning :
Collaborating with the Executive Chef to develop and update menus, including creating new recipes for seasonal offerings and special events.
Inventory Management :
Managing and monitoring ingredient stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
Team Leadership :
Supervising and training pastry staff, identifying staffing needs, and participating in the recruitment and training process.
Hygiene & Safety :
Maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring proper food handling procedures.
Customer Interaction :
Meeting with clients to discuss custom-made desserts and special occasion orders.
Additional Responsibilities :
Operating and managing the pastry section : Working with other chefs to ensure a smooth workflow.
Developing new recipes : Creating innovative and seasonal dessert and pastry offerings.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge : Staying informed about the latest pastry trends and techniques.
Carrying out administrative duties : Managing records, paperwork, and other tasks to maintain an efficient workspace.
