Accounting & Budget Head (START ASAP)

Overview

The Accounting & Budget Head is responsible for overseeing all accounting and budgeting functions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements, managing the organization’s budgeting process, and supporting operational and financial objectives. This role safeguards the company’s financial health by monitoring revenues and expenses, consolidating and analyzing financial data, and maintaining strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including G / L and SL reconciliations, monthly aging report reviews, transaction accuracy, and necessary adjustments.

Manage fixed assets, ensuring accurate lapsing schedules, depreciation, and reconciliations.

Lead the month-end closing process and ensure timely completion of checklist tasks.

Compliance, Audit & Internal Controls

Manage tax compliance (income tax, withholding tax, VAT, documentary stamps).

Ensure timely and accurate submission of SEC and BIR reports.

Evaluate and strengthen internal controls.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, recommending process improvements.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP and PFRS, particularly PFRS 15.

Produce management reports such as P&L by sales department and product.

Conduct financial analyses, including ratio analysis, modeling, scenario planning, and variance analysis.

Stay updated on accounting standards and industry regulations.

Coordinate with external auditors for timely year-end closing and reporting.

Present financial reports to executives and key stakeholders.

Financial Planning & Budgeting

Develop budget and forecast templates.

Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis of actual vs. budget.

Track capital expenditures against approved budgets.

Team Leadership & Development

Manage, coach, and evaluate accounting staff performance.

Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities.

Build strong team collaboration and employee engagement.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience in accounting, budgeting, taxation, finance, or audit, with proven expertise in financial reporting and compliance
• Preferably experienced in telecommunications and project management operations
• Proficient in financial control, financial statement preparation, analysis, and tax compliance
• Strong background in presenting financial matters to stakeholders
• Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP System is an advantage
• Willing to work onsite in San Juan City and available to start immediately
