Financial Record Keeping and Reporting :

Preparing and maintaining financial statements : This includes balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow.

Recording financial transactions : Accurately entering and categorizing financial data.

Maintaining financial records : Organizing and storing financial documents and databases.

Reconciling bank statements : Ensuring accuracy and consistency between bank records and company records.

Preparing and managing budgets : Developing and tracking budgets to manage financial resources.

Compliance and Auditing :

Managing tax filings : Preparing and submitting accurate tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Conducting audits : Examining financial records to identify errors, fraud, and other issues.

Ensuring compliance with regulations : Staying up-to-date on accounting standards and regulations.

Financial Analysis and Reporting :

Analyzing financial data : Identifying trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement.

Providing financial advice : Offering insights and recommendations to management for financial decision-making.

Generating reports : Preparing and distributing reports to stakeholders, such as investors and auditors.

Other Responsibilities :

Handling accounts payable and receivable : Processing invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.

Calculating and paying payroll : Ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries.

Maintaining internal controls : Implementing and enforcing policies and procedures to protect financial information.

Coordinating with other departments : Working with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure accurate financial data.

Accounting principles and practices : A strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
