The Opportunity
The position will be responsible for the provision of high-quality financial management information and provide professional advice to Function Heads within MBPS.
To produce monthly financial statements for budget holders to ensure that the organization has an up-to-date position with the finances to support decision making. He / she shall contribute in the overall corporate reporting and analysis of the organization’s financial position.
The incumbent will proactively work with the assigned Function Heads to resolve any concerns or difficulties with their financial performance and will assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

We are looking for someone with :
Certified Public Accountant with at least 8 years relevant work experience in management accounting and related position. With at least 5 years experience as Finance Business Partner or in the Finance Planning and Analysis function.Extensive accounting experience demonstrating highly proficient knowledge & skills, and evidence of up-to-date knowledgeFinancial and commercial acumen and leadership when undertaking financial reviews and assessments; applying judgement and providing direction on outcomes;Familiarity with major accounting package and office IT systems and proficient with ExcelExperience in executing complex, multi-year programs with multiple variables and senior stakeholders, preferably with exposure to global operations and / or financial servicesNice to Haves :

To meet regularly with function heads to assess and provide awareness of their financial performance and to provide financial management information, analysis and advice in adherence to the budgetary control and finance protocols.To lead the month and year end processes within MBPS in line with the organization deadlines, ensuring all accrual and prepayments are made in line with financial procedures.To analyze the month end financial position, investigate variances and make appropriate adjustments if necessary in line with internal procedures.To investigate and report on significant budgetary variances, identifying any remedial action that needs to be taken.To support in the preparation of regular and ad hoc financial reporting, financial statements, and forecasting for management review.To work with internal and external audit and ensure follow up and implementation of matters arising.To work on obtaining information that provides more detail to support reporting from the general ledger.
