Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Duties :
Diagnose and treat various types of cancer using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy.
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic results and patient needs.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
Provide palliative care and support to patients and families.
Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to advance cancer treatment.
Managerial Duties :
Lead and supervise a team of healthcare professionals including nurses, pharmacists, and support staff.
Coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Oversee departmental operations, including scheduling, compliance, and quality assurance.
Mentor junior physicians and contribute to staff development and training.
Collaborate with hospital administration to improve oncology services and patient outcomes.
Qualifications :
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Medical Oncology.
Board Certification in Medical Oncology.
Valid and active medical license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within a healthcare setting.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Skills :
Experience in strategic planning and departmental leadership.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and oncology-specific software.
Ability to manage complex cases and make evidence-based decisions.
Empathy and resilience in handling emotionally challenging situations.
