Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall trading strategy for PDAX, aligning with the broader Treasury and company objectives.
• Identify and capitalize on market opportunities in both crypto and FX spot markets.
• Drive innovation in trading practices, including the adoption of new technologies and strategies.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Crypto Trading Desk and FX Trading Desk, ensuring efficient and compliant execution of trades.
• Manage and optimize liquidity across all trading venues (on-chain, off-chain, OTC) as well as active management of treasury market positions including pre-funding inventory and prop BTC treasury strategy.
• Direct the development, implementation, and monitoring of in-app algorithmic trading strategies and risk management.
• Ensure robust pre-trade and post-trade controls are in place and adhered to.
• Collaborate closely with the Treasury Risk team to define and enforce trading limits, manage market exposure (price, liquidity, counterparty risk), and implement effective hedging strategies.
• Ensure all trading activities are in strict compliance with BSP regulations, AML / CFT guidelines, and internal policies.
• Implement best execution practices and continually optimize trading efficiency while minimizing market impact.
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of high-performing traders and analysts.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and strong risk awareness within the team.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify growth opportunities for team members.
• Work closely with the Head of Treasury and other Treasury leads to ensure cohesive departmental strategy.
• Liaise with Product and Technology teams to enhance trading platforms, build new functionalities, and improve trading infrastructure and logic.
• Work with Operations teams to create best-in-class risk frameworks and processes that enhance exchange operations.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance departments to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes.
