Job Description
The Project Officer under the Humanitarian Response Unit (HRU) plays a pivotal role in implementing Save the Children Philippines’ emergency response operations in disaster-affected areas. The position exists to ensure timely, inclusive, and child-centered humanitarian interventions across critical sectors such as Education in Emergencies (EiE), WASH, Protection, Shelter, and Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA).
Working closely with the Humanitarian Response Unit, Field Teams, ERTs, and Local Partners, Stakeholders, the Project Officer ensures that response activities are aligned with assessed needs, humanitarian standards, and SCP’s principles, while also contributing to the long-term strategic goals of the organization.
This role directly supports Goal 1 of the 2025 SCP Plan : Driving significant improvements in the health, learning, protection, and participation of the most excluded and vulnerable children . It does so by :

Requirements
Essential skills, knowledge or experience Minimum of 2 years of field experience in humanitarian / emergency response, particularly in WASH / Shelter / Food Security & Livelihoods (FSL), and Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA). Proven ability to implement child-centered and inclusive programming in conflict and disaster-affected contexts. Strong skills in community engagement, especially with Children, Indigenous Peoples (IPs), displaced populations, and vulnerable groups. Experience in coordination with local government units (LGUs), humanitarian clusters, and civil society organizations. Familiarity with Sphere Standards, Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), Cash Transfer Programming (CTP) tools among others. Desirable skills, knowledge or experience Experience in multi-donor, multi-site humanitarian programs Knowledge of current humanitarian issues, including climate-informed programming and safeguarding. Basic understanding of security management in humanitarian contexts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools. Resilience and adaptability in high-risk or rapidly changing environments.
