Deduction Analyst (Remote - Night Shift)

Job descriptionTriage and resolve customer deductions (pricing, shortages / damages, returns, allowances, trade promotions, compliance / chargebacks). Validate claims using POs, PODs / BOLs, invoices, contracts, TPM deals, and retailer portal evidence. Determine disposition (valid / invalid / partial) and code reasons accurately. Prepare and submit dispute packages with supporting documentation via retailer portals (Walmart, Target, Kroger, Amazon / Vendor Central) or TPAs. Track, escalate, and pursue recovery on invalid claims; negotiate when appropriate. Match deductions to authorized trade events, accruals, and off-invoice deals; collaborate with Sales / TPM to correct set-ups. Communicate with Sales and customers to investigate discrepancies between promotional plans and invoices. Index payments with backup documentation into Doc-Link (paperless tool). Send weekly reports to Sales Managers on balances and status. Enter required data in AFS system to process deductions. Perform other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associate's Degree and / or 2-3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities or a combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years experience as Deduction Analyst
- With experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Revenue Recognition
- With experience chargebacks and disputes
- Experience in using ERP, NetSuite is preferred but not required.
