The IT Professional (Business Tech) holds a pivotal role in bolstering and upholding the technological backbone of the organization. This multifaceted position encompasses an array of IT domains, including hardware, software, networking, and user assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management – Lead the charge on IT projects, encompassing ideation, design, system enhancements, migrations, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

Collaborate harmoniously with project teams to attain project objectives.

  • Technical Support – Provide a strategic approach to address hardware and software issues, offering invaluable technical support to end-users.

    • Swiftly diagnose and rectify IT‑related issues.

  • Software Installation and Maintenance – Execute the installation, configuration, and upkeep of software applications and operating systems.

    • Ensure vigilant adherence to software licensing regulations.

  • Hardware Maintenance – Implement a forward‑looking strategy for the sustenance and upkeep of computer hardware, spanning desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.

    • Execute scheduled hardware maintenance and upgrades when necessary.

  • Network Support – Establish and maintain effective oversight of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), guided by a strategic vision.

    • Safeguard the constant connectivity of information systems.

  • Cybersecurity – Institute and perpetuate robust cybersecurity measures, encompassing firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.

    • Disseminate cybersecurity best practices to enlighten end‑users.

  • Data Backup and Recovery – Formulate and uphold procedures for the safeguarding of critical data through meticulous backup and recovery mechanisms.

    • Regularly validate and verify data backups to ensure data integrity.

  • User Training – Establish comprehensive training and assistance to end‑users to enable proficient utilization of IT resources and tools.

    • Craft user guides and documentation as required.

  • Foster productive interactions with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring adherence to hardware and software procurement and maintenance agreements.
