Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Bookkeeper to manage and maintain our company’s financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in day-to-day operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, a high level of organization, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
Record daily financial transactions in Xero and reconcile bank accounts
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and collections
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking
Support in tax preparation and compliance reporting
Ensure adherence to accounting policies and relevant regulations
Provide financial data analysis and support management with decision-making
Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and vendors as needed
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Proficiency in Australian bookkeeping and Xero accounting software (certification is a plus)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and other finance-related tools
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
