Role Overview
The Principal Consultant, Presales at Amdocs Studios plays a pivotal role in driving transformation for enterprise clients using the Amdocs Studios technology portfolio. The role is responsible for originating, developing, and closing high‑impact transformation deals by leveraging modern technologies and innovations in Cloud, AI, data, and platform modernization. It requires deep technical expertise, strong solution‑selling skills, and the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable technology strategies.
The role is cross‑industry and not specific to the telecommunications domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and present high‑impact, composable technology solutions that address diverse and complex client challenges across cloud, AI, data, and application modernization.
- Lead technical discovery workshops and requirements‑gathering sessions with C‑level, business, and technical stakeholders to align business objectives with technology outcomes.
- Design and develop proof‑of‑concept environments, prototypes, and live demonstrations to showcase Amdocs Studios’ technical capabilities and value.
- Author end‑to‑end architectural blueprints, solution designs, and technical documentation to support client decision‑making and successful project delivery.
- Scope, size, and define work packages for Studio‑led engagements, ensuring alignment with client requirements, delivery capabilities, and best practices in modern engineering.
- Collaborate with business development and delivery teams to produce compelling proposals, RFP / RFI responses, and sales collateral, and contribute thought leadership through blogs and industry presentations.
Qualifications / Requirements
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, I.T., Computer Science, etc.12+ years of work experience leading multiple consulting assignments in the Telco / IT industry.Expert knowledge of the market, key players and overall requirements. Presales experience (preferred experience with services, professional services rather than products).Domain and practice expertise based on the need (e.g., BP, BR, PMO, data analytics) depending upon the role.Validated customer facing experience at the leadership level. Communication skills with senior leadership.Displaying the ability to generate sales leads and opportunities resulting in revenue growth; being effectively engaged in a sales cycles and in sales‑related activities (RFPs, RFIs).Experience leading an autonomous stream within a large program. May be involved in leading and overseeing resources in a matrix environment (matrix can contain one or more resources). Certifications : PMP, PMI preferred, Post Graduate optional.Consultative Sales and Solution Architecture : Strong consultative skills with the ability to map business challenges to technical solutions.Technical Solution Selling : Proven track record in selling and solutioning complex engagements including cloud platform and data solutions, application modernization, and automation. Modern tech stack experience.Transformation Expertise : Experience in solutioning or delivering transformation programs with measurable outcomes.Technical Domain Leadership : Significant experience with software engineering (Data, Cloud, AI).Excellent Communication : Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.What You Will Bring to the Role
