The Wellness Specialist supports the development and execution of wellness programs and initiatives aimed at improving employee health and well-being.
This role involves assisting with wellness activities, providing educational resources, and fostering a supportive environment for employees to achieve their health goals.
Program Support and Coordination Assist in planning and organizing wellness programs, workshops, and events.
Coordinate logistics for wellness activities, including scheduling, communication, and materials preparation.
Help manage program registrations, track participation, and provide support to employees attending wellness events.
Health Education and Communication Support the creation and distribution of wellness materials such as brochures, newsletters, and digital content.
Assist in conducting health education sessions and workshops under the guidance of senior wellness staff.
Respond to employee inquiries about wellness programs and provide basic information and guidance.
Employee Engagement and Support Provide general wellness guidance and support to employees seeking assistance with health-related inquiries.
Assist in managing wellness challenges and activities that promote employee engagement and participation.
Facilitate small group discussions or workshops on topics related to health and well-being.
Data Collection and Reporting Collect and compile data on program participation and effectiveness.
Assist in preparing reports and summaries on wellness program outcomes and employee feedback.
Monitor and report on trends and issues related to employee health and wellness.
Administrative Tasks Maintain records of wellness program activities, participant information, and other relevant data.
Assist with budgeting and invoicing related to wellness program expenses.
Perform general administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing wellness program documentation.
Collaboration and Coordination Work closely with HR, management, and other departments to align wellness initiatives with organizational goals.
Coordinate with external vendors, health professionals, and community organizations to enhance wellness offerings.
Support the Wellness Manager in implementing new wellness strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications Experience At least 1-2 years of experience in a wellness-related role or health promotion.
Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Wellness, Nutrition, Exercise Science, Psychology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Wellness Coordinator) are advantageous.
Basic knowledge of wellness principles and health promotion strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support employees.
Proficiency in using Google Suite and wellness management software.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
