Accounting Clerk
Position Summary :
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing daily accounting and clerical tasks. This role ensures accurate recording of financial transactions, proper documentation, and timely processing of financial reports in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Record daily financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, and payments.
Prepare and process vouchers, checks, and other accounting documents.
Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Maintain and organize accounting files and records.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities.
Reconcile bank statements and account balances.
Assist in payroll preparation and related computations, when needed.
Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and other departments regarding billing and payments.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Perform other administrative or accounting-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information.
