Jose C. Feliciano College is seeking a thoughtful, strategic, and caring HR Head to lead our human resources efforts. We want someone who upholds integrity as much as effectiveness — someone who helps our institution thrive by supporting and empowering our people.
Role Summary
The HR Manager will oversee the full spectrum of HR functions : recruitment, performance, employee relations, policy, compliance, and culture. This is a key role in creating a structured, fair, and motivating environment for faculty, staff, and administration.
✨ Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and systems aligned with our school values and applicable regulations
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of academic and non-academic staff
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes with fairness and professionalism
- Oversee performance management systems and support staff development & training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, school policies, and accreditation requirements
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation (contracts, evaluations, reports, etc.)
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic workforce planning and organizational development
- Support wellness, engagement, and recognition programs to nurture a positive culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in education or nonprofit settingsStrong knowledge of labor laws, compliance standards, and HR best practicesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skillsProficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office toolsAbility to lead with empathy, integrity, and strategic insightWhy Join Us?
