About the Role :
As Senior Trade Marketing Manager , you will be the driving force behind how our brands show up in-store and online. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, and Key Accounts to design and execute trade programs that :
- Win space, visibility, and share at retail
- Strengthen partnerships with key customers
- Convert shoppers into loyal buyers
You will lead and mentor a trade marketing team , ensuring strong execution across channels (modern trade, general trade, pet specialty, and e-commerce where applicable).
Key Responsibilities :
Lead Trade Strategy & Planning :Develop annual and quarterly trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales objectives.
Translate brand strategies into customer-specific initiatives and promotions.Identify growth opportunities by channel, customer, and category.Activation & Execution :Design and implement in-store visibility, merchandising, promotions, and shopper activation programs.
Ensure excellence in execution across channels through clear guidelines and performance tracking.Lead development of trade materials (POSM, displays, promo mechanics, retailer assets).Customer & Channel Management :Partner with Key Account Managers and Sales to co-create customer plans.
Prepare and present trade programs and post-activity reviews to internal stakeholders and key customers.Support new product launches with strong trade activation plans.Insights & Performance Management :Use category, shopper, and sales data to sharpen trade strategies and plans.
Track and evaluate the performance of activations (ROI, uplift, off-take) and recommend improvements.Monitor competitor activities and respond with agile, impactful initiatives.Team Leadership :Coach, develop, and inspire the trade marketing team to deliver high performance.
Set clear objectives and KPIs, and drive accountability and collaboration.Champion a “test, learn, improve” mindset within the team.What We’re Looking For :
5–8+ solid years’ experience in Trade Marketing within FMCG or Pet Food (or closely related categories).Proven track record of leading trade programs that delivered measurable business impact (e.g., growth in sales, share, distribution, or visibility).Experience managing and developing a team.Strong understanding of retail, distributor, and / or pet specialty channels.Solid commercial acumen with the ability to balance brand-building and sales objectives.Confident in working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners.Dynamic, hands-on, and a “natural marketer” – someone who combines creativity with data-driven decision-making.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Why Join Us?
