POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Director of Business Development who will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the company's strategic marketing plan to drive new business. Your work is crucial to our continued success, and our compensation package and bonuses reward you for that contribution.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The director is responsible for contacting a prospective client base and scheduling appointments with our Business Development team. We are a process and productivity driven organization, and you will be responsible for helping to expand our organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Leads the development and implementation of the business strategy
  • Provides advice and recommendations on investments and business opportunities, focused on infrastructure
  • Provides oversight and leadership of the development and implementation of sales and client engagement initiatives within the region.
  • Provide guidance, performance management and leadership to direct reports.
  • Data mining / networking to discover new leads
  • Consult with confidence on the phone the benefits and abilities of the organization
  • Set appointments with prospects with the goal of generating sales revenue and building customer loyalty
  • Prospecting for business partners and followingup with sales calls
  • Develop, organize, and nurture a pipeline of business development leads from initial contact to qualified / closed status
  • As opportunities for the sale of existing products and services are identified, coordinate the transfer of the lead to appropriate sales team member

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

As the Director of Business Development, you must be confident, outgoing and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and have the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment. Qualified candidates will be willing to learn new programs, processes and technology. Candidates should be positive, driven and confident individuals that will represent the company and its customers professionally at all times.

  • 10+ years of successful business development or sales highly desired
  • Proven experience with revenue generation and strategic partnerships
  • Demonstrated sound judgement and decision-making ability
  • Understand sales cycles and how to approach lead generation
  • Self-motivated and displays a high degree of diligence and accountability
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in Business-to-Business marketing
  • Ability to build trust, respect, and collaboration in all business relationships

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit / stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
