Position Overview
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the accurate and timely recording of daily financial transactions, regular review and reconciliation of accounting records, and support in tax compliance and regulatory reporting. This role ensures that all financial data is updated, complete, and aligned with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Check, record, and verify daily accounting transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
Review source documents such as invoices, official receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
Monitor and reconcile general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and bank accounts on a daily or regular basis.
Ensure transactions are properly classified and recorded in accordance with accounting and tax standards.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly tax returns (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, income tax) and other government filings.
Support compliance with BIR requirements and other regulatory agencies.
Assist in maintaining schedules for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
Coordinate with other departments for validation of supporting documents and transactions.
Prepare financial reports, summaries, and reconciliations to support monthly closing activities.
Maintain organized and complete accounting records for audit and tax compliance purposes.

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably with tax exposure.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and BIR tax compliance processes.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial data.
