We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to manage our client's end-to-end accounts payable and receivable function. The ideal candidate has strong reconciliation, coding, and Xero expertise, with a passion for maintaining accurate records across multiple divisions. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring financial integrity and supporting continuous improvement within the finance team.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage the full accounts payable and receivable cycle, including issuing invoices, processing supplier bills, and monitoring debtor / creditor balances.
- Perform debtor reconciliations and proactively follow up on outstanding payments.
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal staff regarding account queries.
Bookkeeping & Reconciliations
Accurately code transactions to the correct accounts and divisions.Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow movements.Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data in Xero.Reporting & Support
Support month-end closing processes through reconciliations and reporting.Assist external accountants and auditors by preparing financial data and documentation.Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business (majoring in Accounting / Finance), or a related field.5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within an Australian business environment.Proficiency with Xero and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).Ability to apply double-entry bookkeeping principles when coding transactions, posting journal entries, and performing reconciliations.Hands-on experience managing both accounts payable and receivable, including debtor reconciliations and collections.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills for dealing with Australian stakeholders.Benefits
