Role Overview
The HR Manager oversees the full spectrum of human resources management to support the institutions academic and operational goals. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, cultivates positive employee relations, and drives policies and programs that enhance talent, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience of managing the general facets of HR.
- With a t least 2 years of people management experience.
- Proven background in labor union negotiations , Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), or experience in a unionized environment.
- Strong experience in managing labor and employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of government-mandated benefits, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in payroll processing and administration of salary grades.
- Demonstrated ability to craft, implement, and communicate HR policies.
- Skilled in talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Preferably with experience in the academe sector ; open to corporate professionals with strong expertise in the above functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage all HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and organizational development.Serve as the primary point of contact for labor union relations, including CBA negotiations and grievance management.Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with government-mandated benefits, and salary administration.Develop, implement, and update HR policies aligned with institutional goals and legal requirements.Partner with management in workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.Foster a positive workplace culture that supports academic excellence and employee engagement.Monitor and ensure compliance with labor regulations, audits, and reporting requirements.Provide guidance and support to department heads, faculty, and staff on HR best practices.
