Job Summary :
The General Manager provides strategic leadership and oversees all aspects of the coconut business — from operations and logistics to finance, sales, and compliance. This role drives business growth, operational efficiency, and global competitiveness while ensuring sustainability in raw material sourcing, production, and export logistics.
Key Responsibilities :
Formulate and implement short- and long-term business strategies to drive profitability and market growth.
Lead all departments (Operations, Logistics, Sales, Finance, HR, Quality) to achieve corporate objectives.
Explore new markets, partnerships, and export opportunities for coconut products (VCO, desiccated coconut, coir, charcoal, etc.).
Align operations with sustainability and circular economy principles in the coconut industry.
Supervise plant operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery.
Oversee logistics strategy including raw material sourcing, warehousing, domestic distribution, and export logistics .
Ensure seamless coordination between production, warehouse, and transport teams.
Evaluate performance metrics for production yield, transport cost, turnaround time, and customer fulfillment.
Implement best practices in supply chain optimization and 3PL management .
Manage P&L performance, cost control, and ROI for operational and logistics investments.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and strategic reports for the board.
Negotiate logistics contracts, shipping rates, and supplier pricing to optimize margins.
Strengthen relationships with coconut farmers, cooperatives, buyers, and export partners.
Represent the company in government agencies, trade associations, and industry councils.
Identify opportunities for diversification and innovation in coconut-based products and logistics solutions.
Lead a multi-functional team of managers across production, logistics, finance, and commercial departments.
Build a performance‑driven culture emphasizing accountability and operational excellence.
Implement training and succession planning programs to develop future leaders.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics Management .
10+ years of experience in senior management , including 5 years in the coconut, agribusiness, or food manufacturing sector .
Strong background in supply chain, logistics, and export management .
Demonstrated success in P&L management, strategic planning, and operations leadership .
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
