Our client is a US-based electrical contractor delivering commercial and industrial projects with a focus on quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
The Role
You'll participate in the end-to-end electrical estimating for US projects reviewing plans / specs, performing digital takeoffs, building detailed estimates and more. You'll collaborate closely with project managers and the operations team to hand off awarded jobs smoothly and maintain up-to-date cost databases.
Key Responsibilities
Review drawings / specifications; identify scope, inclusions / exclusions, and risk items.
Perform digital takeoffs (counts, lengths, assemblies) and quantify materials, equipment, and labor.
Build competitive estimates using an estimating platform (e.g., Trimble Accubid or McCormick Systems ) and verify against historical costs.
Request, track, and analyze vendor / subcontractor quotations; negotiate where appropriate.
Prepare bid proposals, scope letters, and value-engineering options.
Participate in pre-bid / RFI processes; clarify conflicts or omissions in plans / specs.
Coordinate award handover with operations (breakouts, BOMs, budgets, alternates).
Maintain estimation libraries / databases for continuous improvement.
Qualifications (Still apply if you don't meet all)
3-5+ years of electrical estimating experience (commercial / industrial preferred).
Proficiency with a major estimating tool : Trimble Accubid or McCormick Systems .
Proficiency with digital takeoff software, such as On-Screen Takeoff (OST) ; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu for plan review / markups.
Strong blueprint literacy (single-line diagrams, risers, panel schedules, load calcs) and working knowledge of
Advanced Excel skills; strong attention to detail; clear written / verbal communication.
Comfortable working US business hours (EST) initially; disciplined remote work habits.
Nice to Have
Experience with design-build estimates, conceptual budgets, and change-order pricing.
Familiarity with Procore / PlanGrid or similar construction platforms.
Working Setup & Schedule
Location : Remote (Philippines)
Schedule : US (EST) business hours for the first 12 months; may transition to PH daytime thereafter
