Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented
Part-Time Bookkeeper to help establish and maintain our financial records. The role involves building a chart of accounts, accurately categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing monthly financial statements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys independent work, has strong accounting skills, and wants a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Set Up & Maintain Chart of Accounts
Develop and manage a chart of accounts tailored to our business needs.
Transaction Categorization
Review and assign transactions to the correct accounts.
Separate and classify business vs. personal expenses across three bank and credit card accounts.
Reconciliations
Complete monthly reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow report).
Summarize financial activity from invoices and payments for management review.
Requirements
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
Strong knowledge of small business bookkeeping practices.
Experience managing multiple accounts and handling personal vs. business expense allocations.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and reliability
