Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online Specialist)

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online (QBO) skills who can take ownership of multiple catch-up and cleanup projects. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of managing deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy. You will work closely with the business owner (who is certified in cleanups) and initially receive oversight and guidance, with the goal of growing into greater independence as trust is established.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple client bookkeeping catch-up and cleanup projects.
• Set up new clients in QuickBooks Online, including accurate chart of accounts tailored to entity type (sole proprietor, S-Corp, etc.).
• Complete onboarding and 3-month catch-up bookkeeping.
• Execute specific projects including
• 15-month catch-up (due by 09 / 15 / 2025)
• 8-month catch-up (due as soon as possible)
• 18-month catch-up (due by 09 / 30 / 2025)
• Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial data is accurate, complete, and categorized properly.
• Create and maintain rules in QBO for efficient categorization.
• Provide progress updates and proactively flag issues or delays.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
