We are seeking a Legal Administrator to provide high-level administrative support to solicitors and paralegals, helping to improve efficiency, increase billable capacity, and maintain the firms professional reputation. This role focuses on accurate document and correspondence management, conveyancing assistance, and ensuring smooth workflow across all legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Email & Correspondence Management
- Apply consistent naming conventions to all correspondence.
- Save all sent and received correspondence in LEAP within 24 hours.
- Ensure relevant team members are CCd on outgoing emails.
- Maintain accurately named, saved, and cross-referenced correspondence for easy retrieval.
Conveyancing Support
Set up new conveyancing matters in LEAP within 24 hours of instruction.Order property searches via InfoTrack / LEAP within agreed timeframes.Receive and rename correspondence according to firm standards.Accurately calculate settlement adjustment sheets, council rates, and water rates, ready for paralegal review.Follow and update LEAP workflows and task lists, ensuring timely task completion.Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly organised professional with strong administrative skills and experience supporting legal teams. They will be confident using case management systems such Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document and correspondence management.
Be highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, and meet strict deadlines.Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional manner.Show initiative, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Possess prior experience in a legal or conveyancing support role (preferred, but not essential).Ideally have at least two years of administrative experience in a law firm.
