The Sales Modern Trade Manager will lead and drive the company’s modern trade business, managing key retail accounts and ensuring the growth and profitability of our products across major retail chains. This role requires a strategic, data-driven, and tech-enabled approach to category management, pricing, promotions, and commercial negotiations, while fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Key Account & Retail Chain Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major retail chains, ensuring alignment with business goals and sales targets.
- Promotions & Category Development :
- Develop and execute category strategies, promotional plans, and initiatives to drive growth and enhance product visibility.
Pricing & Commercial Strategy :
Lead pricing strategies, commercial agreements, and negotiations with key accounts to maximize profitability and market share.Tech-Enabled Sales Execution :
Leverage digital tools, analytics, and market insights to enhance sales execution, reporting, and decision-making.Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while collaborating closely with Purchasing, Operations, Marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.Qualifications :
Minimum of 8 years in modern trade sales within FMCG, food distribution, or a related industry.At least 3 years of leadership experience managing key retail chains.Proven track record in category growth, pricing, promotions, and commercial negotiations with major retail accounts.Strong data-driven, tech-savvy mindset with ability to leverage analytics for decision-making.Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
